The Finale area is really well known all around Europe and the world for his massive concentration of climbing walls.
Actually more than 100 cliffs with 3000 routes in limestone rock with holes in the whole territory.

Finale is all over the year climbing site where the weather-except for august when the heat is annoying and the areas in the shade are few-allows pleasant climbs both in the summer and in the winter without freezing or sweating too much...

In Finale you'll find a great number of vertical routes, but also slabs, overhangs and some roof.
Something missing here are the really easy routes -such as 3 or 4 level of difficulty- and the most difficult ones, like over 8b.
By the way, during my bolting and re-bolting experience and as local climber, I'll tell you that is easier to find hard climbs than easy ones and that the last ones are spread all around...But if your level is around 6a to 7b this is definitively your place!

Many of the paths to join the cliffs are not well indicated and the vegetation grows up quite fast so that is better to buy a guide book and not to hesitate to ask local climbers infos or to follow them. Many of them have a long experience in the area and will be happy to show you the places not on the book or simply the right direction for finding what you're looking for.

Be careful with bolts.
In spite of the re-bolted cliffs with resin and stainless steel bolts the large number of routes in the area and the fact that there's not an organisation that manage their maintenance is not difficult to find non re-bolted routes.
So for your safety try to choose the place also for his bolting ....

The length of the routes is more or less around 20 meters but you'll find also multpitch routes till 250 meters (as Paretone di Pianarella, Rocca di Perti, etc)

Finale will also provide whatever you need, every kind of shop(food, clothes...) and more: B&B, hotels, camping areas and a youth hostel.
In the summer months Finale Ligure is quite crowded cause of the beaches but during the other seasons everything is quiet except for Finalborgo, where climbers ( locals and outsiders ) are used to take breakfast and hang around before their climbing day...And to have a huge beer or a glass of wine at the end!
